Numerous international research works, scientific publications and lectures, e.g. for the International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC) of the United Nations Environment Programme, Division of Technology, Industry, and Economics (UNEP DTIE).

The topics deal with sustainable architecture and urbanism and are considering ecological, economical and social aspects. Keywords are:

• Reuse and Recycling in architecture

• Building Integration of renewable energy production

• Sustainable water and sanitation systems

• Integrated and Interdisciplinary planning.

• Teachings

Professor for Architectural Design and sustainable architecture at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea. Coordinator of international cooperation. Formerly teaching positions in the areas of environmental sound building and construction, building services engineering as well as sustainable architecture and urbanism at various universities in Germany and The Netherlands.

The work includes the supervision of students, the organization and realization of lectures, workshops, conferences, excursions, study projects and summer academies.
